Solutions to Common Problems


USBSwiper Error: “The account name and password you entered does not match those for any FileMaker account.”

Fix: Most people forget the Account Name is User.  If you’ve entered the Account Name correctly, please try a different password.  Your password was created the first time you logged in.


USBSwiper Error: “Your PayPal Subscription Status is Not Validating as Active”

Fix: Close USBSwiper, confirm your internet connection is strong then reopen and login to USBSwiper.


PayPal Error 10501 - Invalid Configuration: This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration.  This occurs when the billing agreement is disabled or inactive.

Fix: Login to your PayPal Account and activate the Virtual Terminal.


PayPal Error 10505 - Gateway Declined: This transaction cannot be processed.  The transaction was refused because the AVS response returned the value of N, and the merchant account is not able to accept such transactions.

Fix: Enter the customer’s billing zip code & click the Process button.


PayPal Error 10764 - The transaction was declined by PayPal.

Fix: Please try again later. If the problem persists, contact PayPal.  


PayPal Error 15005 - This transaction cannot be processed.  The transaction was declined by the issuing bank, not PayPal.

Fix: Ask for another form of payment (ie: credit card, cash or check).
